About one thousand people take part in the demonstration near Verkhovna Rada demanding to increase the living wage, pensions and salaries, and to include into budget-2006 means for development of coal industry.
Participants are crying out “Work, salary!” They are holding symbolism of “Trade unions Federation of Ukraine,” “coal-miners’ trade unions,” “Kiev trade union of public health service officials,” “trade union of Science Academy officials,” Communistic Party of Ukraine, bloc “Our Ukraine”.
Participants of the demonstration are also holding the placards with the following inscriptions:
Most part of the demonstrators is miners from the Eastern Ukraine. However, there are a lot of representatives of Kiev region, Crimea and Western Ukraine.
Today Verkhovna Rada is to give the state budget-2006 bill its first reading.
