In London, Kateryna Yushchenko met with Neil MacGregor, Director of the British Museum, the President's press office reported.

They discussed ways to establish links between the museum and Ukraine’s art treasure houses. MacGregor assured his guest that he was ready to help Ukraine develop the Art Arsenal Cultural Complex. He said the museum could share its experience to hold big exhibitions and even invite museum workers from Ukraine to practice in Great Britain.

The President’s wife saw some Ukrainian exhibits at the Museum: the Martyniv Treasure of the 6th-7th cc. and the so-called Kyiv Collection of the 11th-12th cc., which was discovered at excavations of the St. Michael’s Monastery in Kyiv.

The British Museum is one of the biggest museums in the world. It has about six million exhibits depictingour history from the ancient past to the present.
