Sergey Kamyshev Ukrainian Ambassador to China met the leadership of China Ocean Shipping Company (COSCO) and discussed the establishment of the straight sea shipping between Ukraine and China.
COSCO is the second transport company in the world. Its annual turnover of goods is equal 35 million tones. COSCO opened its trade delegate in Odessa. But the goods are transferred through the third countries, in particular, Egypt.
In case if the turnover of goods between Ukraine and China increases the business will face the direct line of sea shipping.
COSCO also intends to buy Ukrainian ships.
In 2004 COSCO declared the income equaled to $1.48 billion.
