
Accompanied by his wife Kateryna, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Borys Tarasyuk and Economy Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko went to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for a two-day working visit, President's press office reported.
There he is expected to meet with British Prime Minister Tony Blair to discuss ways to liberalize visa requirements for Ukrainians and plans to hold a Ukraine-EU summit in Kyiv.
Then Her Majesty Queen Elisabeth II will present Yushchenko with the Chatham House Prize. It was establishedin 2005 tohonor public figures for their contribution to international affairs. The President of Ukraine is the first laureate of the Prize.
The Head of State will meet with Britain’s leading politicians and business leaders. He will also be interviewed by the Bloomberg News Agency.
