In case if ex-Prosecutor General Svyatoslav Piskun brings an action against President of Ukraine Sergey Golovaty the Justice Minister of Ukraine will represent President’s interests. It was Golovaty’s statement in Inter TV air.
“If Svyatoslav Piskun brings an action concerning his dismissal against the President I will represent Victor Yushchenko before the court because it is my direct obligation to provide government and President with juridical support. So, I am ready for this,” said Sergey Golovaty Ukrainian Minister of Justice.
According his words, President’s actions are based on article 122 of the Constitution of Ukraine which says that President has right to dismiss the Prosecutor General of Ukraine. He added that President Yushchenko acted strictly under the Constitution of Ukraine.
