Ukraine has banned import of meat from two Brazilian states in connections with foot-and-mouth disease burst there.
Nikolay Patsyuk the deputy Chief of the State Veterinary Department of Ukraine reported in the round-table discussion in Kiev.
According to his data, the foot-and-mouth disease was detected in the frontier of Parana and Mato-Grosso-du-Sul states.
“There is not any prohibition on poultry. The poultry is not subjected disease,” mentioned Patsyuk.
The prohibition touches only pork and cattle.
