On the eve of President Viktor Yushchenko's visit to Great Britain, slated for October 17, a Ukrainian business delegation, led by President of the Ukrainian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce Vladimir Shchelkunov, met with top executives of the Great Britain Department of Trade and Industry, the ICC Ukraine press service told.
"Great Britain backs President Viktor Yushchenko's initiative on the need to maintain systemic dialogue between the authority and business and is ready to share its experience of implementation of the "Business and Society" program", Director of the Corporate Social Responsibility Department of the UK Government Helen Griffiths said at an official meeting with Shchelkunov.
As he noted in turn, the British experience of peaceful co-existence of the power and business is very useful for Ukraine.
A cooperation agreement between the Ukrainian and British National Committees of the International Chamber of Commerce, which is to significantly simplify access of Ukrainian companies to British markets and to increase mutual investments, was signed during the visit.
