Prospects of international cooperation were discussed at a Ukrainian-Japanese business-forum, opened in Odessa October 13.The South region's companies and the delegation of the Japanese Association of Trade with Russia and Central-East Europe ROTOBO participated in the forum. Within the framework of the meeting between Ukraine and Japan, the parties will work toward promoting business contacts and introducing Odesa's investing potential and export-import capabilities of the national economy.
The Japanese delegation are supposed to meet with the city's and region's authority, visit one of Ukraine's largest Ilichivsk sea merchant port.
ROTOBO was established in Japan in 1967 under the aegis of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan. ROTOBO comprises three departments, the Scientific Research Institute and two subsidiaries in Moscow and Hokkaido, Japan. ROTOBO is mainly engaged in collecting and analyzing recent information about economics of its partner-states, disseminating of the said information among ROTOBO member-companies, assisting Japanese companies' participation in international symposia and forums, organizing delegations to partner-states, assisting partner-members in marketing of commodities in Japan, holding seminars on management and industrial policy in Russia, Cabinet's press office reported.
