The integral processes in Ukraine contribute to security and stability in the European region, Associate Director of the Marshall European Center for Security Studies Mary Ann Peters noted. She made a speech at the meeting with the Marshall Center's graduates on "reinforcement of the regional security under NATO-EU-Ukraine cooperation" in the National Institute of Strategic Studies in Kiev.

Mary Ann Peters stressed that NATO has a particular interest to Ukraine, which proved its intentions for development and democracy, Cabinet's press service reported.

The conference participants estimated Ukraine's peacekeeping activity as high, including Bosnia and Herzegovina and African missions. Ukraine plays an important role in settling the Transdniestrian conflict, the Associate Director stressed. As a result within the next few days a memorandum among Ukraine, Moldova and the EU are supposed to be endorsed.
