Accompanied by Architecture Minister Pavel Kachur, Culture Minister Igor Likhoviy, Industry Minister Vladimir Shandra, Deputy Fuel and Energy Minister Aleksey Ivchenko, State Tax Administration Head Alexander Kireyev and Customs Service Chief Alexander Yehorov, Victor Yushchenko went to Lvov for a one-day visit.
He is expected to take part in a plenary meeting of the 5th Ukraine–EU International Economic Forum and visit an investment and real estate exhibit.
 
The President will also grant a national status to the Solomiya Krushelnytska Academic Theatre and speak at a public veche.

The President will also meet with the region's officials and entrepreneurs and take part in a ceremony of signing a memorandum on realization of the project of construction of oil refinery in Brody, Lvov region.

The Ukraine - EU international economic forum, which is underway in Lvov, is held into transborder and regional cooperation. An investment fair is organized within the framework of the forum, which offers investment projects to the tune of some 4 bn. USD.

Due to forums and investment fairs, which are regularly staged in the region, almost 200 M. USD was invested to the region in 2001 - 2005 and, as of present day, the general sum of foreign investments amounts to 360 M. USD, which mainly came from Poland, Germany, Cyprus, Hungary, Switzerland and Great Britain.
