At a press conference in Kiev, Victor Yushchenko said Yuri Yekhanurov’s visit to Russia had been successful.
“He accomplished all goals he had set before the visit,” noted the Head of State.
Commenting on Ukrainian-Russian relations, Yushchenko said there was an “active and good dialogue on all levels” between the two countries.
The President believes this dialogue resulted in a ‘road map’ to develop these relations.
“At the moment we are getting ready for Mr. Putin’s visit to Ukraine. We will formally sign an action plan of the Yushchenko – Putin Committee in Kiev,” said the Head of State.
Yushchenko added that the document had already been elaborated and it would include all problems of the energy complex.
“We have reached mutual understanding as far as the energy complex is concerned. Our negotiations were not easy because oil and gas involve politics, and we all understand that quite well,” he said.
