
Ukraine and Russia have reached an agreement on non-visa entrance for Ukrainians and Russians, having merely national passports or birth certificates, the Foreign Ministry's spokesman Vasily Filipchuk confirmed.
This agreement was reached, at the Ukrainian-Russian consultations on consular-legal matters in Kiev.
Thus Ukrainians will keep on travelling to Russia with their national passports. During 2005 the matter of introduction of border-crossing regime between Ukraine and Russia by travel documents since Russia raised January 1, 2005. However Ukrainian diplomats managed to persuade Russia to give it up.
