At a ceremony at the Mariinsky Palace, ambassadors from Egypt, India, Canada and Romania presented their credentials to Victor Yushchenko, President's press office reported.

 At a meeting with the Egyptian Ambassador, the Head of State spoke about ways to jointly construct satellites. The sides agreed that a Ukrainian delegation would soon visit Egypt. They also discussed trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. Yushchenko invited his Egyptian colleague Hosni Mubarak to visit Ukraine.

Meeting with the Indian Ambassador, Yushchenko discussed cooperation in various industrial branches. Indian diplomats noted Ukrainian engineers' contribution to build plants in their country.

At a meeting with the Romanian Ambassador, the President spoke about ways to form a presidential committee to solve key problems in Ukrainian-Romanian relations. They also considered principles to delimit the border. In this context, the sides agreed it was important to resume their diplomatic dialogue.
