Kuchma stated that the main Yushchenko’s mistake was that he had failed to become the President of all Ukraine.
“Yushchenko must become the President of all Ukraine instead of being the President of a part of it – this is his mistake. Regarding it he must form his team,” said Kuchma.
Ex-president also mentioned that regarding the short time between presidential and parliamentary elections, “the government must be lead by the person without political ambitions, the real hard-working man.”
To Kuchma’s opinion, the lack of such person led to economic and political crisis.
Ex-President denied any suggestions concerning his influence on the formation of new Cabinet.
Kuchma positively characterized Yuri Yekhanurov as “a perfect manager thoroughly knowing economy.”
