According to official statistics, production of crude sunoil in Ukraine in August this year made 42,000 tonnes, down 39 percent from July and 30 percent from August 2004, AgriMArket.Info reported.
According to APK-Inform estimate, actual production of crude sunoil in August was somewhat larger than the official statistics has shown, i.e. about 50,000 tonnes.
The end-of-month stocks of sunoil at the crushing plants in August increased 31 percent from the previous month - to 10,400 tonnes. The stocks/production ratio in August was 24 percent.
Totally over the 2004/05 marketing year (September to August), according to APK-Inform estimate, Ukraine produced 1.24 million tonnes of crude sunoil, which is nearly 20 percent less than the season before.
According to statistical data, the output of refined vegoils in August was 34,600 tonnes, thereof 34,200 tonnes of refined sunflower oil. The end-of-August stocks of refined sunoil at the crushing plants kept practically unchanged from the end of July, at 11,400 tonnes.
Over the whole marketing season of 2004/05 Ukraine produced 425,600 tonnes of refined sunoil, up 32.3 percent from the season before.
