As Polish President Alexander Kwasniewski's chancellery reported, under Ukrainian President Victor Yushchenko's initiative the two Heads of State spoke via telephone on Sunday. The Ukrainian President told his Polish counterpart about the Verkhovna Rada's approval of Yuri Yekhanurov as new Prime Minister of Ukraine and about the process of forming a new Government. According to Yushchenko, this fact testified to political stabilization in Ukraine and a chance to implement necessary reforms in economics and social sphere.
The President of Ukraine thanked the Polish President for constant support of democratic changes in Ukraine.
Alexander Kwasniewski briefed President Yushchenko about the parliamentary elections, which were held in Poland on Sunday, September 25.
