As the Foreign Ministry press office informed, Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Dolgov led the Ukrainian delegation to the 4th Conference for facilitating enactment of the Agreement on comprehensively banning nuclear tests, which was held in New York City.

The Conference was attended by delegations from over 120 nations.

It drafted the Conference's Report and adopted the Declaration, which lists steps toward the Agreement's ratification.

Within the framework of the 4th Conference Igor Dolgov met with Tibor Toth, Executive Secretary of the Preparatory Commission for the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty Organisation.

The parties discussed topical matters of the Organization’s activities.

Tibor Toth stated his favorable opinion about Ukraine's Treaty-related activities, in particular, functioning of the Treaty Basal Monitoring Station.

Igor Dolgov reaffirmed Ukraine's readiness to host training of experts of the Radiation Monitoring Organisation in 2007.
