Victor Yushchenko greeted his fellow citizens on Day of Partisan Glory.

“The guerrilla movement was a manifestation of patriotism and self-denial of thousands of people of different nationalities and mentalities. It was a self-sacrificial struggle for freedom and national being,” he says.

“In those mutinous WWII years Red Army divisions fought against the enemy along with all freedom-loving people,” stressed the Head of State. “There were visible and invisible fronts in Ukraine.”
