Former Ukrainian PM Yulia Timoshenko supported the formation of Common Economic Area of Ukraine and Russia.

“I believe it is possible to build economic area of free trade. It is also needed to retain visa free regime for citizens of the both countries,” said Timoshenko in the program on NTN TV channel.

Timoshenko declared she was named Russia’s enemy advisedly during election campaign.

Ex-PM stated she would like visit Russia in the near future, but she could not say in which status.

“I wish it would be the status, which let us to become friends again,” said Timoshenko.

She admitted that not all slogans of ‘orange revolution’ can be realized in short terms. In particular, she reminded that President Yushchenko came to power with the advanced slogan to join European Union. However, it turned out that “not all doors are open for Ukraine.”
