The Cabinet of Ministers sent the draft state budget for 2006 to the Parliament on Thursday.

The Cabinet of Ministers is proposing that the parliament approve the state budget for 2006 with projected revenues totaling 118.706 billion hryvnia, projected expenditures totaling 127.444 billion hryvnia, and a projected deficit totaling 9.9 billion hryvnia.

The Cabinet of Ministers is also proposing that the parliament approve privatization revenues of at least 8,134.6 million hryvnia for 2006.

The draft budget is based on an inflation forecast of 8.7% and a GDP growth forecast of 7%.

The monthly minimum wage is expected to be set at 350 hryvnia on January 1, 360 hryvnia on July 1, and 400 hryvnia on December 1.

The draft budget also provides for raising the subsistence minimum from the current 423 hryvnia per month to 453 hryvnia on January 1, 465 hryvnia on July 1, and 472 hryvnia on October 1.
