Maria Misio, correspondent of Los Angeles Times, has been attacked in Kiev.
According to her colleagues, an unknown person attacked her at the moment she was leaving her apartment and struck several blows to the head. Having met with the journalist’s resistance, the offender escaped.
The victim has been delivered to a hospital. Motives of the attack are unknown.
Maria Misio also directs the program of journalists’ defense of IREX PROmedia center.
