Victor Yushchenko met with acting Prime Minister Yuriy Yekhanurov and Verkhovna Rada Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn to discuss ways to form the new Cabinet and ensure constructive cooperation between the government and parliament, official site of President reports.

The President said at today's meeting with leaders of parliamentary groups and factions they had agreed to sign a Stability Memorandum.

“We are sending stability messages to businesses and assuming joint responsibility for the 2006 budget and all processes that concern European integration and CES cooperation, as well as some other fundamental and significant directions,” said Yushchenko.

The Head of State thanked all parliamentaryleaders that participated in the meeting.

“We have reached a good agreement, which, I am convinced, reflects intentions and interests of political forces and Ukrainian citizens,” he said.

Yushchenko informed those present that they had also made a decision to forma political council that would meet once every two or three weeks. He noted that they had also agreed to form a group from all political forces (except the Communist Party and SDPU(u)) that would work tobuild the new government. Yuriy Yekhanurov was put in charge of this group. Each political party proposed its candidates.

“Our aim is to vote for a Prime Minister candidate at the Rada and from the new government as soon as possible,” said the President.
