Chervonenko’s yachts

Ukrainian press continues to describe luxury, in which live the modest heroes of Maidan – now the representatives of the government. In particular, the journal “Business” published the results of investigation concerning the yacht, sailed by Minister of Transport and Communication of Ukraine Evgeny Chervonenko this summer.

A correspondent of the edition had seen the yacht in Yalta port with Chervonenko on board. The vessel, about 20 meters long, runs under the flag of Malta and is named “Orange wings.”

The edition states that the yacht is made by Italian firm “Azimut-Benetti”, the model of it is “Azimut 68 plus.” A yacht of this type costs 1.3 – 1.7 million euros, tending costs 10% from its value annually.

According to “Business” supposition, “Orange wings” is a model of 2001 year, which is valued 1.6 million euros.

Customs clearance of this yacht in Ukraine will cost additional 551.4 thousand euros, customs duties – one thousand euros plus 12% from the yacht value. Legal import of yacht increases its value by 43%.

“Business” states that, according to flag and the board inscription, the yacht is registered in Valetta (Malta’s capital). Yacht’s driving to Ukraine costs about 27 thousand dollars.

In response to the question, where did he get such a yacht, Chervonenko said it was given by a friend and accused the edition of the preparing black ordered material.

At the same time, an official of Yalta customs police said that registering the yacht in Yalta port it was produced Maltese registration certificate, according to which the vessel is reckoned by the name “Suzi.”

“Business” writes that Chervonenko has started to speak about yachts from the first days of his period of office. In one of his March interviews he told that he owns eight meters long motor yacht. The editions reminds that three years earlier, in February 2002, Chervonenko told about his personal nine meters long vessel. There are no doubts that the matter concerns two different yachts, as Chervonenko, being an experienced yachtsman, could not confuse the length of his own yacht.
