Ukraine and Poland prepared a common plan of decrease of dependence on Russian gas and oil. The agreement is planned to be signed at the end of September. Alexander Kvasnevsky President of Poland is expected to visit Kiev at this period.
The key-project of the agreement is a speeded up building of the oil-pipe line Brody-Plotsk-Gdansk. This will allow Ukraine to refuse from reverse direction of use of Odessa-Brody pipe line and to turn to the use of more qualitative Caspian oil.
Besides, Presidents considered the idea of joint gas production in Middle Asia.
Presently, Ukraine and Poland are almost fully dependent on Russian gas monopoly, and oil market is also controlled by Moscow companies.
