Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Timoshenko is satisfied with the court decision concerning returning of Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant to the state property.
“I amhappy that there is justice in the country, that there is absolutely legal position, which allowed returning the boldly taken away state property,” said PM.
Supreme Economic Court of Ukraine confirmed August 25 that privatization of Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant was conducted with violations of the law.
Pridneprovye Industrial Financial Consortium appealed in the Supreme Court of Ukraine resolution of the Supreme Economic Court and Kiev Economic Court of Appeal on illegal privatization of 50%+1 stocks of Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant.
On 30 August, Viktor Pinchuk the deputy of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine reported it to the workingmen of the plant. He is also founder of Interpipe Corporation which controls Pridneprovye Consortium.
Pinchuk stated that previous court decisions were not just and now owners of the plant intent to claim their rights of property.
“We will fight till the end,” mentioned Pinchuk.
Interpipe Corporation is eager to take part in re-sale of Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant if any.
