Production of electricity at the No 2 generating set of the South-Ukrainian nuclear power plant was resumed at 0511 [0211 gmt] today after repairs, the Ukrainian state nuclear regulator told UNIAN.
The generating set is currently working at 30 per cent of capacity, the output is being gradually increased.
As of today, 12 out of 15 generating sets are in operation at Ukraine's four nuclear power plants. Repairs continue at the No 5 generating set of the Zaporizhzhya plant, the No 4 set of the Rivne plant and the No 1 set of the South-Ukrainian plant. The output of the No 2 set of the Khmelnytskyy plant, which was relaunched the day before yesterday after unscheduled repairs, has been raised to 100 per cent of capacity. The output of the No 1 set of the Rivne plant has been cut in half due to repairs of one of the two turbines.
