Verkhovna Rada Chairman Vladimir Litvin expects very sharp discussion in the Parliament in case deputies will submit for consideration an offer to increase lowest passing barrier on parliamentary elections.
He declared about it commenting on yesterday’s statement of President Victor Yushchenko concerning necessity to increase lowest passing barrier on forthcoming parliamentary elections.
Representatives of Socialistic Party, Party of Regions and Communistic Party have already declared that they will not support the increase of lowest passing barrier for parties and blocs.
Presently the lowest passing barrier makes 3%.
