Anatoly Gritsenko, Defense Minister states that Finance Ministry's position toward Ukrainian Army may destroy it completely.
In particular, he pointed out that the problem of financing of Armed Forces of Ukraine has not been still resolved. The problem is included in state reform project for Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2006-2011.
According to Gritsenko, Finance Ministry insists on increasing of defense budget in proportion with gross domestic product. "We cannot agree with it because there is no reason to speak about development of Armed Forces. We would doom Army to further reduction and degradation," mentioned he.
Defense Minister of Ukraine states that if the problem of financing even by 2% of gross domestic product which is need by entrance into NATO, Ukrainian Armed Forces will not develop in the future.
