"It seems to me that both Ukrainian and Russian powers need the reliable basement for the relationship instead of private needs of bureaucrats. Such basement is the consideration of national interests of Ukraine and Russia. I am sure it is understood in Kiev as well as in Moscow. That is why I am sure that there will be neither deterioration of relations nor confrontation, only logical cooperation even if some officials of our countries prevent it,' mentioned Timoshenko.
According to her words, "gas problem" of Ukraine-Russia relationship may be settled by gas transit through Ukrainian territory.
