Petro Poroshenko Secretary of National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine highly evaluated today's statement of Ministry of Iran. The statement confirmed the intention of Iranian government to sign the agreement on purchase of 30 milliards cubic meters of natural gas and export of 20 milliards cubic meters of it to Europe. The press service of National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDCU) reported.
"This is the best result of the joint work of NSDCU, Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine and Naftogaz National Joint-Stock Company on diversification of gas not only to Ukraine but to other European country as well. The project may benefit much Ukrainian transport rate and give impetus to integration of Ukraine to European and world economy," stated Poroshenko.
We remind that Iran agreed to export up to 30 milliard cubic meters of natural gas to Ukraine per year, senior official of Iranian oil ministry told state radio, according to AFP.
Ukraine also agreed to export up to 20 milliard cubic meters of our gas to Europe through its own installations, according to the memorandum of understanding signed last week, added Iranian Minister.
