Ukrainian peacemaking volunteers found and destroyed cache with weapon, the press service of Defense Ministry of Ukraine reported.
The secret service men of 81st tactic group of Ukraine Army in Iraq received operative information about the location of cache. They sent the patrol headed by Major Vladimir Dmitrash in order to check the information.
Ukrainian patrol found well-hidden and well-camouflage cache with large-caliber machine-gun, its depot barrel, and seven grenades, start cartridge for SPG-9, nine fuses and about 50 kg of gunpowder. The further detailed inspection of surrounding territory revealed 3,800 machine gun shells.
All weapons were ready for extended storage and for urgent usage as well.
The found weapons were delivered to Ukrainian storage in Iraq.
