The corresponding agreement was reached by the Secretary of Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council, Petro Poroshenko, and Chinese Foreign Minister, Li Zhaoxing in Beijing, on Thursday.
Poroshenko's press secretary told Interfax that the two countries will first start implementing projects in Vacit province, which is controlled by Ukrainian peacekeepers.
They will also cooperate in implementing aircraft-building and machine-building projects and broaden their transit potentials.
The two officials noted that bilateral trade reached USD 2.5 bln in 2004.
China also said it would like to participate in developing and extracting oil and gas in Ukraine's Black Sea fields.
