The Public Committee of national security of Ukraine welcomes the steps of the President Victor Yushchenko, directed to withdrawal of Ukrainian peacemaking contingent from Iraq.
The statement reads that, the Committee calls the President and Cabinet to speed up the withdrawal of troops, taking into account the increasing threat of acts of terrorism in Europe and for the sake of security of Ukrainian people.
The Committee calls to finish the process before September 1, 2005.
Besides, the Public Committee of national security of Ukraine calls Security Service of Ukraine to strengthen the arrangement, directed to inhabitants’ defence from terrorism.
