Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko visited the Tokyo Stock Exchange on Thursday and said he wants to foster close cooperation with TSE officials to improve the infrastructure of the securities market in Ukraine.

TSE President Takuo Tsurushima briefed Yushchenko about the basics of Asian's biggest stock exchange at the former trading floor, now a computer center where about 20 staff members monitor trading on the bourse. To improve the environment of the stock market in Ukraine, "We definitely need to have technical cooperation and advice from Japan," Yushchenko told reporters, Japan Today informed.
