In Tokyo, the Minister of Transport and Communication, Evgeny Chervonenko, and the President of Machine-Building Company, included in Japanese ITOCHU, Giro Takemory, signed a frame memorandum about cooperation.

The memorandum provides for Ukrainian-Japanese cooperation and introduction of joint projects in the spheres of railway transport, city transport on magnetic cushion, bridge and road building, reconstruction of airports and financial-leasing services for aircraft building, development of sea and river infrastructures.

The project of monorail railway formation was specified as a priority one. This railway is to connect Leningrad square in Kiev and the international airport "Borispil."
