National oil and gas Company "Naftogaz Ukrainy" signed contracts for an additional shipment of 11 billion meters of gas to the Ukraine, as announced by Aleksey Ivchenko – the head of the board of directors of "Naftogaz Ukrainy."
"Two more contracts were signed – one for 5 billion cubic meters and another for 6 billion cubic meters of gas," said Ivchenko, as reported by "UNIAN."
According to him, the contract for 6 billion cubic meters of natural gas was signed with the Russian company "Rosneft" and the contract for 5 billion cubic meters was signed with the company "Rosukrenergo." He also noted that "this more than covers our needs."
As a reminder, earlier Ivchenko claimed that in the nearest future "Naftogaz Ukrainy" will cover the deficit of Ukraine’s gas balance for 2005.
