Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted for the introduction of the act on implementation of WTO requirement concerning trade aspects of intellectual property rights. 261 deputies out of 372 registered ones voted for and 44 deputies - against the act. It provides for the criminal responsibility of illegal circulation of compact disks, equipment for the CD production and matrixes.
Export and import of CDs and matrixes must be licensed as well as the equipment and the stuff for the production of CDs and matrixes.
The Cabinet will define the register of basic units which must be licensed. The question of licensing will be regulated by the central body of executive power on economy.
