Ireland will support Ukraine in its entry into the EU if Ukraine meets the conditions of the membership. This statement was made by Dermot Ahern coming out in the press conference with the minister of foreign affairs, Boris Tarasyuk.

Ahern also confirmed his support concerning the liberation of visa-regime between two countries.

He mentioned that there was not any problem with Ukrainian labor migrants. According to his words, Irish government always considers all application of Ukrainian citizens concerning the legal work in the country.

Tarasyuk in turns expects the considerable increasing of turnover between Ukraine and Ireland in the nearest future. The visits of business-delegations from Ireland to Ukraine and Business-Association with the office in Kiev will benefit it.

Tarasyuk mentioned some interest facts of the relationship between two countries, for example, there are 12,000 Ukrainians working in Ireland. The large group of Irish deputies on Ukraine liaison was formed in the parliament of Ireland, it consists of 61 deputies. This is the first visit of Irish minister of foreign affairs to Ukraine.
