The speaker of Verkhovna Rada, Volodymir Litvin, and Ireland minister of foreign affairs, Dermot Ahern, agreed in opinion that the political dialogue between two countries should be brisk up.
The representatives of the countries discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian spheres. "We are interested in development of relations between our parliaments," stated Litvin. He added that the deputy group of friendship has been already formed in Verkhovna Rada.
The items of Euro integration and cooperation in international organizations were under discussions by Ukrainian and Irish high officials. The discussion on the place and role of UNO drew the attention of the politicians.
Litvin invited Irish government's delegation to visit Ukraine in the autumn of this year.
