The former prosecutor general of Ukraine, the chairman of party "Derzhav" Gennady Vasiliev appealed to Pechersky district court of Kiev with the request to oblige the president Victor Yushchenko to dismiss Petro Poroshenko from his post of the secretary of National Security and Defence Council.
In his letter, delivered to the court, Vasiliev pointed put that on March 24, 2005 he addressed the president to eliminate violations of Constitution, caused by holding more than one appointment by Petro Poroshenko - the post of the secretary of NSDC and deputy’s activity.
"However, I did not get any answer to my letter from the president, who is the guarantor of Constitution observance. And there were no action directed to solving the given issue," reads the document.
Vasiliev asks the court to oblige the president Victor Yushchenko to consider hid letter of March 24, 2005 and to remove Petro Poroshenko from the post of the secretary of NSDC.
