The long-term agreement is to be signed during the visit of Turkmen president, Saparmurat Niyazov, to Ukraine. The president of Naftogaz Ukraina, national joint-stock company, Alexey Ivchenko, stated it.
According to Ivchenko’s words, Turkmen president accepted the written invitation of Ukrainian president.
Besides, Niyazov stated that irregardless the same long-term agreement with Russia, his country has enough resources for supplying Ukraine as well as Russia.
Concerning the prices, Ivchenko states that it is a commercial secret. In particular, he mentioned the fact when he had flight back to Kiev, Russia did not provide Ukrainian plane with airspace. That is why Ukrainian plane with delegation on board had to fly through airspace of Azerbaijan and Georgia. It was for two hours more than flight through Russian airspace.
