Common transportation tariffs on the CIS territory may be implemented upon the expertise of tax, tariff and currency laws, said Russia's transport minister Igor Levitin, who participated in coordination transportation session of CIS member states held in Petrozavodsk, Kazinform reported.

The point at issue was an introduction of common transportation tariffs with Ukraine and Kazakhstan.

Expert council was charged to examine tax, tariff and currency regulations and submit it to the session. Terms of expertise are not determined yet. Integrated traffic rates could speed up realization of projects such as advanced container trains passage en route Kazakhstan- Byelorussia via Russia, container train New Silk Road en route China-Kazakhstan –Russia –Ukraine -European states.

The sitting was attended by Byelorussian transport minister Mikhail Borovoi, representatives of transport ministries of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine and a set of executives of CIS transport undertakings.
