The two-day coordination transport session of CIS states is opening today in the capital of the Republic of Karelia, Petrozavodsk, Kazinform reported.
According to the information of Karelia Government, the jubilee 25th session will be attended by Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the coordination transport session (CTS) of the CIS Igor Levitin, representatives of CIS, international and Russian organizations.
The delegation of Kazakhstan will be headed by first Vice-Minister of Transport and Communications Yurii Lavrinenko. The participants of the session are going to discuss the questions of the CTS activity in 2004-2005, realization of international transport projects, in particular organization of the container line between the ports Ilyichevsk-Odessa-Tolyatti-Samara and container train New Silk Road with the rout China-Kazakhstan-Russia-Ukraine-European countries.
