The president of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko declares about necessity to revise the existing state standards in the near future in order to bring them in correspondence with international norms.
The head of the country underlined that he controls this question personally, and declared about readiness of the new power "to change substantially tens of state standards."
"It is and absurd, when in the Illychevsk port inspectors of different state services conduct examinations, which are already abolished according to EU standards or replaced by other serious licenses," gave the example Yushchenko.
The president also expressed an assurance that the revising of state standards is needed for the power as well as for business.
