The minister of Defence of Ukraine, Anatoly Gritsenko, declared that Ukraine would be ready to join NATO in two-three years.

"The final term of Ukraine’s membership in NATO must be defined by a political decision of the both sides. If to take into consideration only military aspect of cooperation, Ukraine will be ready to entry NATO in two-three years," declared the minister during the meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Commission at the minister level in Brussels on Thursday.

According to him, temporal difficulties, which appeared in EU, can not prevent Ukraine’s advancement.

Gritsenko reported that Ukrainian peacemaking contingent will stay in Kosovo. Besides, Ukraine is ready to support peacemaking operations of NATO in Afghanistan and Iraq.
