Public Committee of National Security of Ukraine worries about presence of sings of crimes in the actions of the prosecutor general of Ukraine Svyatoslav Piskun.
"Investigative bodies recognized the record of Piskun and Herbst talks as authentic. The records contain information, which is evident of rough violation of legislation in force by Piskun. In particular, the record of the conversation between prosecutor general and the Ambassador of the USA contains the signs of high treason," reads the statement of National Security Committee.
The Committee considers that Piskun’s period of office threatens national security of the state. His activity destroys the achievements of "orange revolution" and compromises the state power. Public Committee of National Security of Ukraine demands resignation of Svyatoslav Piskun.
As reported before, Ukrainian General Office of Public Prosecutor has instituted proceedings against bugging of telephone conversation between Ukrainian prosecutor general, Svyatoslav Piskun, and American Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador in Ukraine, John Herbst.
