The General Office of Public of Ukraine brought a criminal action against the international airport "Boryspol" (Kiev) officials who caused about 12 million UAH damage to the airport and the state, MIGnews.com.ua reported.
According to the press service, it has been identified that these officials over 2001-2005 were acting against the state interests over the joint economic activity. Without the consent of the ministry of transport and communication of Ukraine and State Air Service, they concluded contracts with private companies.
Over the aforementioned period the state has lacked 12 million UAH as a result of transactions on cooperation with "Visit" Ltd, "Aerohenling" Ltd and other companies, as well as groundless offering of discounts to the aviation company "Aerosvit" for the land service of airborne vehicles.

The action is brought due to the criminal circumstances stipulated by article 364, part 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ("abuse of powers or office, which caused hard consequences is punished by 5-8 years of imprisonment and deprivation of right to hold certain posts or be in charge of certain activity up to 3 years").
