OSCE recommended Ukraine to pass new electoral law. It was read in the final return of the Ukrainian Supervision Mission-2004 of the OSCE Office of the Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.

"Verkhovna Rada should consider the possibility of optimization and simplification of Electoral Law by means of new electoral code," read the recommendation part of the return. OSCE mentioned that the electoral code will provide equal conditions and administrating procedures according the conduct of every kind of elections, "Glavred" informed.

In particular, OSCE thought that the electoral code should consist of precise directions according to precise circumstances, and any member of any election committee should be substituted in any circumstances.

Nowadays there are different electoral laws for different kinds of elections in Ukraine: "About Presidential Election," "About Deputy Election," "About Central Election Committee," and many others documents according to the election procedure.

We remind that on May 24-25, the head of the OSCE Office of the Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), Christian Shtrokhal, are in Kiev with the official visit in order to work out the aforesaid return.
