According to the article 106, part 27 of Constitution of Ukraine, the president of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko issued an edict about pardon of 28 persons, condemned earlier, the press-service of the head of the country reported.

As the edict reads, the president pardoned the condemned after considering the petitions and propositions of the Commission charged with pardon issues.

The president also took into account the character and degree of public danger of committed crimes, the personalities of the condemned, their family status, behaviour and attitude to work before committing crimes and after conviction, the served terms and other factors.
