The beginning of the negotiations about the simplification of visa regulations for some categories of the Ukrainians will start in September this year. Such forecasts were made by Benita Ferrero-Waldner, the commissioner of the European committee on foreign relations and the European neighborhood policy, MIGnews com.ua reported.
According to Mrs. Ferrero-Waldner, the question of the liberalization of visa regulations will be solved together with the problem of Ukraine’s signing up the contract about the re-administration of the citizens (the contract of transmitting the citizens, who live in the country illegally). "The negotiations about the liberalization of visa regulations will probably start in early autumn", said the representative of the European Union.
Ukraine appeals to the countries of EU to simplify visa regulations for the Ukrainians, first of all for the students, scientists, businessmen and journalists in order to activate the economic and cultural cooperation. At the end of April Benita Ferrero-Waldner called the countries of EU to hasten a process of simplification of visa regulations for the Ukrainians and said it was the key direction of solving the problem of uniting the countries and stressed that the simplification is foreseen by the Plan of actions Ukraine – EU, signed up in February.
